Bishwendu K. Paul, C.E., S.E.

As president of ESI BK brings over 37 years of experience to your project. The scope of his experience includes structural analysis and design of residential, commercial, industrial, recreational, and community structures and facilities. He has worked on residential and commercial structures, parking structures, overhead water tanks, highway bridges, and waterfront structures.

BK has acumulated extensive knowledge of project design, construction management and supervision, as well as site inspection and evaluation. After the October 17th, 1989 earthquake he responded to the needs of the state's Office of Emergency Services by volunteering his time and expertise to Oakland's Damage Assessment office by inspecting quake damaged buildings in the heavily hit Oakland area.

BK received an M.S. in Structural Engineering and Structural Mechanics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1980, an M.S. in Structural Engineering and Construction from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand in 1976 and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dacca, Bangladesh in 1973. He has had papers published in a variety of journals including the ACI Journal, International Ferrocement, Building and Environment (Great Britain), and the Journal of Ferrocement.

BK has been registered with the State of California as a Professional Civil Engineer (C35258) since 1982 and as a Professional Structural Engineer since 1988 (S3093.) He is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of California and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
